Cookie policy

Last updated: 6 May 2026

This policy explains how Bookzyr uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and inside the app, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy policy.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies let a site remember what you did so you don't have to repeat yourself — staying logged in, remembering preferences, or measuring whether something works. We also use related technologies (local storage, pixels, SDKs) for the same purposes; we refer to all of these as "cookies" in this policy.

2. The cookies we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to work. You can't switch these off.

Functional

Help us remember your preferences and improve your experience.

Analytics

Tell us how the site is used so we can make it better. Anonymised where possible.

Marketing

Let us measure and optimise our advertising on Meta and Google, and show you relevant ads on those platforms.

3. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by trusted third-party services we use to run Bookzyr — for example Stripe (payments), Intercom (support), Google Analytics and Meta Pixel. These services have their own privacy and cookie policies; we link to them inside our cookie banner.

4. Your choices

When you first visit Bookzyr, a banner asks for your consent to non-essential cookies. You can change your choices at any time:

Note: turning off strictly necessary cookies will break parts of the site (for example, you won't stay logged in).

5. "Do Not Track"

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry-wide standard for honouring this signal yet, so we currently do not respond to it. We will update this section if that changes.

6. Updates to this policy

We may update this policy when we add or change tools. Material changes will be reflected in the cookie banner and the "Last updated" date above.
